The MSI Claw Appears to be Launching March 1st, in Thailand at Least

The Thailand MSI Store appears to indicate that the MSI Claw will launch there on March 1st. Pre-Orders are available now.

Those of you who are eagled-eyed, or perhaps just desperate for news on MSI’s upcoming handheld, the Claw, may have noticed that it’s been available for Pre-Order on their Thailand website for a few days now.

MSI Claw Feature

Scrolling down the page, we find some text written in Thai, which when translated reads the following:

Pre-Order Promotion Period : 24 Jan – 11 Feb 2024 Customers will receive the product around 1 Mar 2024 Premium giveaway will start shipping on 31 Mar 2024

MSI Thailand Store Page

Here’s an image of the translated page, containing the quote:

MSI Claw Thai Store Page Pre-Order

This seems to indicate that those pre-ordering the MSI Claw from the Thailand store page will receive their MSI Claws around the start of March. The US store page still just has a “Coming Soon” placeholder with no option to pre-order the device yet. Likewise, the UK landing page for the Claw doesn’t even link to any store page.

There’s even a gift package for those who pre-order early, containing a travel case, lanyard, keychain, tempered glass screen protector, and a “Lucky Phone Holder”. The gift package seems more appropriate for Thai culture, so we may not see the same offer in the rest of the world.

Hopefully, the launch of the Claw will happen simultaneously worldwide, but it’s possible that Thailand will receive it beforehand, as multiple Thai retailers are offering pre-orders for the device, whereas no US or UK retailers that we’ve seen are allowing pre-orders yet.

And before you ask, sadly the MSI Thailand store will not ship to addresses outside of Thailand itself, so there’s not much hope of importing one straight from MSI.

What do you think, do you think the MSI Claw will launch simultaneously worldwide, or will it have a staggered launch similar to other handhelds we’ve seen like the Lenovo Legion Go?
