In 2022,
Steam Deck HQ was created and it became bigger than we could have ever expected. In less than 6 months, we were hitting over a million views a month, and for the team, we saw the potential in finally being able to do what we love as a career. As we continued, our passions started to grow out from just the Steam Deck and permeate into other similar handhelds. After looking around, it was hard to find a website geared specifically for reviewing, in-depth testing, and news regarding all handhelds, so just like with Steam Deck HQ, we created Handheld HQ.
Handheld HQ was thought up with the goal of creating a news and testing/reviewing hub for all handheld devices. This includes handheld PCs (Legion Go, ROG Ally, AYANEO, GPD, etc.), android handhelds (AYN, Retroid, Anbernic, etc.), and even the Nintendo Switch! If you can hold it in your hand and use it to play games or use as a computer, we will cover it here.
This is a large-scale project and a long term investment for us, so there will be a multitude of improvements that come as time goes on. Please don't hesitate to reach out to us through social media or our Discord server if you have any feedback or questions.
